Instructional Staff

The teaching staff is comprised of experienced educators with backgrounds as performers with the Blue Devils and as teachers and designers for various area high school guard programs.

Featured clinicians include:

Lauren Gary has been a performer in Fantasia Winter Guard (2008) and the Blue Devils (2009-2011). She was also a performer for international stage show "Odyssey" during their 2008 Japan tour and was a performer on an episode of the hit TV show "Glee".

Lauren has presented clinics throughout southern California and for the Malaysia Band Association. She is a designer and teacher for high schools, including Valencia HS, Yorba Linda HS, University HS and Millikan HS.

TJ Doucette has been on the Blue Devil guard staff since the early 1980's and has been an integral part of the guard's unprecedented success. She has also been a long-time staff member for the multi-time WGI champion James Logan HS guard program, as well as other notable guard programs including the San Marino Academy and San Jose Raiders.

An in-demand clinician world-wide, TJ has presented guard clinics throughout Europe and in Brazil, South Africa and Asia, and has been a long-time staff member of Tokyo's Renaissance Vanguard.

Raquel Crisostomo was a member of the Blue Devils organization since her elementary school years, starting in the Blue Devil C corps guard in 1998, graduating into the B corps and then earning a spot in the prestigious Blue Devil World Class guard in 2007, finishing her performance career in 2011. She is an in-demand guard instructor throughout the US and has been a clinician for the Malaysian Band Association.

Casie Connolly has literally grown up in the Blue Devil guard program, having joined the Blue Devils C corps guard when she was 10 years old, eventually graduating into the B corps guard and then performing as a member of the Blue Devils A corps guard from 2008 through 2012. Casie was also a member of the Blue Devils A and Open Winter Guards. A California native, Casie moved east to attend Old Dominion University and has become involved in teaching in that region, including Hickory and Powhatan high school guards in Virginia and the Carolina Visual Productions Indoor Guard. Casie continues to teach for System Blue camps and was on the team that presented System Blue clinics in Malaysia.
